Prune Poznic

David Poznic

.

In 2010, after ten years performing professionally as an actress in Paris and New York, Prune found herself yearning for a way to explore more deeply her connection to movement and expression. She discovered Wutao, which completely transformed  her relationship to her body, breath, and personal life.

Prune worked closely with the creators of Wutao for eight years, diving deep into her practice and teaching, eventually earning the advanced level “Professeure” certification.

She then went on to teach Wutao internationally at festivals such as MOVE Copenhagen (2016 and 2017), Festival du Feminin (Bangkok and Singapore) and Eat Play Love (California). She was a guest teacher for the Mendecino Dance Company, and has taught workshops in Thailand, France, the U.S., and Morocco.

From studying Kung Fu at a Shaolin monestary in the mountians of China to teaching mask-making in France and Brazil, David’s career has led him to coach, perform, and direct in more than a dozen countries.

With a voracious appetite for learning new skills, David has worked with movement experts around the world for nearly twenty years, exploring Capoeira, contemporary dance, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, martial arts, and Wutao.

In recent years David worked as  Director of Havik Circus in the Dominican Republic, performed acrobatics in an 80-city N. American tour with Cirque Dreams, spent two years in India coaching Bollywood moviestar Aamir Khan, and then  toured the world with a  two-man mask / circus / live music show, “BOOM!” His fitness work can also be found at youtube.com/poznictraining and on IG @davidpoznic.
